Students and staff of Dukhan English School are staging a variety of fundraising events in aid of Reach out to Asia's "Atfalouna - Our Children" campaign. Atfalouna - Our Children is providing essential supplies to students affected by the recent unrest in southern Lebanon and Palestine. QR 5000 has so far been raised with more to come next month.
Among the fundraising events organized by the school which contributed to the ROTA campaign were a staff versus students basketball game and a casual dress day. The basketball game saw a staff team pitted against the students. For the casual dress day students donated money for the privilege of not wearing school uniform for a day and came instead in a colorful array of clothes of their choice. The students by participating were able to make a difference in the lives and educations of struggling children in Asia, whilst enjoying the opportunity to be creative with their school time dress.
Through these two drives alone, the Dukhan English School has donated nearly QR 5000. Furthermore, the Dukhan English School will be holding their annual Spring Fair on March 3rd of this year. ROTA will be a charitable beneficiary of the event's proceeds.
The donations made toward ROTA's "Atfalouna - Our Children" campaign provide children in Lebanon and Palestine with much needed school supplies and other support. ROTA continues to rebuild dozens of schools which were damaged during the recent conflict. ROTA staff and volunteers recently hand-delivered much needed stationery and schoolbags to students at a number of schools which have already benefited from reconstruction.

The funds raised will help provide essential supplies to children in conflict-afflicted areas of Lebanon and Palestine.
